The Magnificent Feast

A Feast for A 'King'
Les Seductions du Palais, installation view at the Quai Branly, Paris

Probably the variations of colours and the randomness of the arrangment of the food that interest me to post this image.

Architecture - Landform Buildings

Last year 2012, during my gap year, I had been one of the luckiest people to be able to work along side one of the leading architects in Malaysia, Kuching Sarawak, Ar. Mike Boon. He had been contributing in Kuching architecture for quite some twenty years or more and is probably one of the most enthusiastic and motivated architects in conservating Kuching architecture.

Nonetheless, the topic today would be the possibilities of future Kuching architecture based on ideas of landscape urbanism following the computational era of the 21st century. I would be using one of Ar.Mike Boon's Benak or Panaroma Park (Taman Panaroma) as an example on emerging building landscapes.

The progression of CAD, Rhino, Revit and other programme, in it's availability and affordability, particularly those that enables the construction, changes the way of how we should we should (re)think architecture. Indulging in the free form architecture was not the means of this post.
It is just an exclamation mark of how Kuching architecture could lack an awakening siren for the Monday blues.

Sis' birthday

02' August 2013
Dinner cooked by Sandy, who is our current housemate from Hong Kong, and is studying cutlinary.

Cooking up the fish, which I haven't done for a long time because we had tried to reduce our chinese food intake and work on low carb diets for healthier choice.

Three years has gone, but birthdays come every year.

It was my birthday last week, and I did not organize anything for it. Had lunch with some close friends, which I really appreciated them for doing so. There was yummy Japanese Food and "X-MEN" in Hoyts. I was really happy to know that my god-father came over from Malaysia, of course it was a business trip. However, God always had his ways for wonderful surprises. I am very blessed, just that I don't appreciate it, all I need is my papa.
Days past, weeks gone, years fled by.
Three years has gone since you left us,
but birthdays come every year.

The person that I am very grateful this semester is my third sister, she's been a great company during my stressing nights and my emotional days, especially recently I've been getting ill a lot compared to the times I got ill in High school and Junior School. It's probably the side effects from the medication I have been taking, headaches, dizziness and nausea conditions, stomach uneasiness etc. Gym was hard, so I didn't go for gym this sem, which I sense could cause another side effect, OBESITY! :P Well we have to look out for our health. God's blessing upon all of you.

Woking In Kuching

This is a note to myself, I have very short memory, in case I forget

It's been a enjoyable experience working in DNA, Design Network Architecture. I think what strikes me most for this company was firstly the atmosphere. The office, in a residential house, people were of all ages but seemed to joke around aimlessly everytime. People were working in casual clothes, non of the formality that kept the atmosphere strict and down. Most of all, there was a puppy, named Barry (barry white), but it's now in KL. It greets with joy pounces and whines every time he sees someone coming to the door. The door that kept him apart from the air con room. Adorable. There was also the larger dog, Toffee, which tags along for lunch only. LUNCH ONLY, or maybe the aircon. Haha, it's cute. Apparently he wasn't like that, until some lady fed him food, and he had a gang outside. But Toffee's still loyal, just a bit naughty.

To think of it, if I did summer at Stuttgart, Germany. I might come into problems like getting lost, not coping with studies, distracted etc, nor would I have spent so much time with my mother. To tell the truth, I was kind of running away from reality, study was my only excuse, I didn't want to go back Kuching looking at those farmiliar roads, the farmiliar touch, loving people that I miss and so loved whole heartedly, my favourite yummies, and all that comfort I have in Kuching. An escape from reality was in Melbounre, where I just have to study and not remember anything. I know it's been two years, but some things cant be shaken off like that.

ON with my experience, I was taught bundless of things in DNA, from different sought of people, my boss, Min, my other "boss" Henry, colleagues/friends, Zi Xin who taught me AutoCad and many other stuff, Cherie, the software genius, Sofia, the jolly comedian, Andy the smarts, Micheal the badminton player, Voon the funny smarts and many other people from the upper floor and the front desk which have provided me with so much assistance throughout the year.

IT's A HOLLY LOTS OF THANKS to all the people in DNA, and my family.

Apologies for my disappearance

It's Week 4 and I'm still not used to university life, especially in these first three weeks, loads of work has been pushed on to us like a bunch of scrap asking us to sought it out and make it a masterpiece. It's not as easy as it sounds, but being in this unilife hasn't been the best of it's time.

I apologize for not calling my mum as often as I used to, I apologize for not being able to call friends and check on them, for a coffee or a day shopping, and the phones have already stopped ringing. I apologized for the ignorance I have for the world outside me, and me trapped in my rabbit hole. I apologize for not being able to say Happy birthday to my friends, or sending them a card.. Because you know how un-organized I am.

THANK YOU for being my mother, sisters and friends.
